How the check works
We add the animal's weight to the carrier's, because that is how every airline counts it except one — Air Europa, which sets two separate limits. Then we compare the three dimensions of your bag against each airline's limit: one side over and the carrier is refused.
The result splits airlines into three groups: those that accept you, those that rule your dog out on weight, and those that rule it out on size. The distinction matters: the first case needs a lighter dog, the second only a different carrier.

The four airlines at the bottom carry no pets at all: on those routes your dog's weight is irrelevant.
What the tool cannot know
- Availability on your flight. Pet spaces are limited and must be confirmed with the airline: a purchased ticket does not guarantee your pet boards.
- The breed. Snub-nosed dogs are accepted in the cabin almost everywhere but barred from the hold; Iberia's list also includes chihuahua, maltese and yorkshire.
- The destination. The United Kingdom does not allow pets in the cabin, and some countries require cargo transport.
- The cabin class. KLM does not accept pets in the cabin in Premium Comfort or intercontinental Business.
