Before payment

Before booking a flight with a dog or cat

This page is for the most delicate moment: you found a flight, but need to know if it truly works for your pet before paying.

A flight is truly bookable only when route, airline, weight, carrier, documents and pet availability all match.
  1. Check whether the airline accepts your pet

It is not enough for an airline to sound pet-friendly. Verify dog or cat, cabin or hold, and the specific route.

  2. Add pet and carrier weight

Many limits include both. A 7 kg dog plus a 1.5 kg carrier can already exceed some thresholds.

  3. Check the carrier before the fare

Size, soft or rigid material and under-seat placement can decide whether the trip is possible.

  4. Confirm the pet space before payment

Pet spaces are limited. Search the flight, then confirm with the airline or official channels before buying.

  5. Verify documents, layovers and destination rules

Microchip, vaccines, passport and country rules can change the plan, especially outside the EU or with a layover.
